Abstract
Provided herein is a method of treating a disease, disorder or condition associated with succinate dehydrogenase- (SDH-) deficiency with a multi-targeted tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI). Also provided herein is a method of treating a disease with the combination of multi-targeted TKI with Bcl-2 inhibitor.
Claims83
A method of treating a disease, disorder or condition associated with succinate dehydrogenase- (SDH-) deficiency in a subject, comprising administering a therapeutically effective amount of a multi-targeted tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) to the subject, thereby treating the disease, disorder or condition associated with SDH-deficiency in the subject.
A method of identifying a subject having a disease, disorder or condition associated with SDH-deficiency and selecting a treatment for the identified subject, comprising:
- a) determining if a biological sample from the subject is SDH-deficient;
- b) identifying the subject as having the disease, disorder or condition associated with SDH-deficiency, based on the SDH-deficiency determined in step a), and
- c) recommending the subject to receive treatment of a multi-targeted TKI.
A method of treating cancer in a subject, comprising administering to the subject,
- a) a therapeutically effective amount of a multi-targeted tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI);
- and
- b) a therapeutically effective amount of a Bcl-2 inhibitor.
A method of treating a disease, disorder or condition associated with upregulated hypoxia inducible factors (HIF-1α, HIF-2α), vascular endothelial growth factor-A (VEGFA), fibroblast growth factor receptor-1 (FGFR1), phosphorylated FGFR1, insulin-like growth factor-1 receptor (IGF-1R), phosphorylated IGF-1R, STAT3, phosphorylated STAT3 and/or phosphorylated Src in a subject, comprising administering a therapeutically effective amount of a multi-targeted tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) to the subject, thereby treating the disease, disorder or condition associated with lipid metabolism in the subject.
