An ultrasound measurement device for an industrial measurement apparatus includes a base including an ultrasound transducer driver and an elongate stem including an ultrasound transducer. A connector assembly releasably attaches the elongate stem to the base. The connector assembly has a first connector portion on the base and a second connector portion at a proximal end of the elongate stem. The first and second connector portions, when connected, provide mechanical alignment of the elongate stem relative to the base and an electrical connection between the ultrasound transducer and the ultrasound transducer driver. The connector assembly also includes a co-axial electrical connector that provides the electrical connection between the ultrasound transducer and the ultrasound transducer driver and also allows the elongate stem to be secured to the base in any rotational orientation about the longitudinal axis of the elongate stem.
