Abstract
A gas sensor includes a stacked body in which electrode layers and insulating layers are alternatingly stacked. The stacked body has a sloping surface at a portion of at least its side surfaces. The sloping surface functions as a detection portion which detects a particular component of a gas under measurement.

A gas sensor comprising:
- a stacked body including electrode layers and an insulating layer, wherein
- the electrode layers and the insulating layer are alternatingly stacked,
- the stacked body has a sloping surface at a portion of at least its side surface, and
- the sloping surface functions as a detection portion which detects a particular component of a gas under measurement.
