Abstract
A rotary laser includes a housing in which, for the purpose of rotating a laser beam, a drive unit with a stator and a rotor for the rotating drive of a spindle is arranged. A determination unit is associated with the spindle, which has a toothed disc and a photointerrupter, wherein the toothed disc has teeth distributed in the circumferential direction and a receptacle for accommodating a magnetic disc. The photointerrupter is provided for determining a relative change in the angular position of the spindle.
Claims11
A rotary laser, comprising:
- a housing;
- a drive unit arranged in the housing and configured to rotate a laser beam, wherein the drive unit includes a stator and a rotor configured to rotate a spindle;
- a determination unit associated with the spindle and including a toothed disc and a photointerrupter, wherein the toothed disc includes (i) teeth distributed in a circumferential direction, and (ii) a receptacle;
- and
- a magnetic disc is accommodated in the receptacle,
- wherein the photointerrupter is configured to determine a relative change in angular position of the spindle.
