Rotating Laser having a Protective Element

A rotating laser, comprising:

• a housing;
• a carrier plate arranged in the housing;
• a housing-fixed base plate arranged in the housing at a predefined distance from the carrier plate;
• a laser unit arranged on the carrier plate;
• a leveling unit arranged on the carrier plate and having at least one inclination adjustment unit, wherein the at least one inclination adjustment unit is configured to set an inclination angle of the carrier plate relative to the housing-fixed base plate;
• and
• a protective element for protection in the event of an overload is assigned to the at least one inclination adjustment unit,
• wherein the at least one inclination adjustment unit includes an inclination adjustment unit housing in which at least one motor having a drive spindle configured to displace a plunger along a longitudinal extent of the drive spindle is arranged,
• wherein the plunger is configured to bear against the housing-fixed base plate,
• wherein a predefined inclination angle of the carrier plate relative to the housing-fixed base plate is settable by displacing the plunger along the longitudinal extent, and
• wherein the protective element is arranged within the inclination adjustment unit housing of the inclination adjustment unit.
