Abstract

A rotary laser includes a housing, in which a laser unit and a leveling unit are arranged, wherein the leveling unit comprises at least one tilt sensor for determining a respective orientation of an axis associated with the laser unit relative to the housing and at least one tilt adjustment unit for adjusting a specified target tilt of the associated axis relative to the housing. An operating unit is provided with an input unit and a display unit. The display unit is configured, in a first operating mode of the rotary laser, to visualize the specified target tilt of the associated axis in a first display mode, in particular in a first color.
