A sight having an adjustable aperture for improving aiming in different or change lighting conditions. Some embodiments of adjustable apertures comprise iris diaphragms. Other embodiments comprise compression rings with flexible fingers or a compression donut. Embodiments of illuminated rings improve user's perception of center-on-center alignment. Some embodiments comprise a vertical hair and a torque pin to improve user's perception of vertical rotation. A method of using a sight having an adjustable aperture.
