Systems and methods for air-conditioning unit run-off mitigation

A method for mitigating air-conditioning unit run-off, comprising:

• positioning an air-conditioning unit run-off mitigation system along a bottom surface of an air-conditioning unit, the system comprising:
• a plate, the plate comprising:
• a top surface configured to be disposed along the bottom surface of the air-conditioning unit;
• a bottom surface configured to be disposed along a top surface of an air-conditioning unit support bracket;
• a plurality of drip bumps disposed along a bottom perimeter of the bottom surface;
• a central surface disposed underneath a bottom surface of a lip disposed along an internal perimeter of the top surface;
• a plurality of drip outlets disposed across the central surface;
• a material layer disposed within a cavity defined between the central surface and the bottom surface;
• and
• a hook disposed at or in proximity to an external perimeter of the plate, the hook being configured to secure the plate to a windowsill;
• a cover plate configured to be secured to a top surface of the lip, wherein the cover plate is configured to be positioned directly under the bottom surface of the air-conditioning unit;
• and
• a support unit configured to be disposed along the central surface upon which the cover plate is disposed.
