Side light-emitting device and luminaire

Abstract

A side light-emitting device and a luminaire are provided. The side light-emitting device includes a frame extending in a vertical direction, and a light source module and a light-exit member disposed on an inner side of the frame. The light source module is disposed between the frame and the light-exit member and emits light toward the light-exit member to form a light-exit region on the light-exit member. The light-exit member further includes a non-light-exit region adjacent to the light-exit region. The light-exit region and the non-light-exit region are connected in a circumferential direction to form an annular surface on an inner side of the light-exit member. The light source module may include a light source substrate, a light-emitting element, a light guiding lens, and/or a light shielding member. The side light-emitting device may be incorporated into a luminaire.
