A light source assembly and a lamp are provided. The light source assembly includes a light source substrate and at least two types of light emitting units disposed on the light source substrate. Each type of light emitting unit includes at least two light emitting components having different colors. The at least two types of light emitting units are distributed in a staggered manner on the light source substrate. Light emitting components in two adjacent light emitting units of the same type have different color arrangements. By arranging different types of light emitting units in a staggered pattern and varying the color arrangements of adjacent light emitting units of the same type, color mixing performance is improved, color separation is reduced, and more uniform illumination and enhanced lighting effects are achieved. The light source assembly may be applied to various lighting devices and display lamps.
