A clamp useful for securing rectangular members, where the clamp includes a front surface, a rear surface, and a top surface connecting the front and rear surfaces; and connecting element in the form of a length of material that defines an opening suitable for receiving a connecting component, the connecting element extending from a point at, or near the junction of the top surface and the rear surface; and a first screw opening extending through the top surface. The clamp may be use in combination with an adapter to accommodate rectangular members of different thicknesses (e.g., ¾ inch) such that the clamp, alone, may be used with members of a first thickness, the clamp in combination with the adapter in a first orientation may be used with rectangular members of a second thickness (e.g., ⅝ inch) and the clamp in combination with the adapter in a second orientation may be used with rectangular members of a third thickness (e.g., ½ inch). The clamp may also be used with a strap formed of a webbing material to secure rectangular members to a wall.
