Abstract

A positive displacement machine interacting with an operating fluid, the machine being a pump or a motor and including:—means interacting with the operating fluid;—a first shaft operatively associated with the means interacting with the operating fluid; the first shaft being rotatable about a first axis of rotation;—a casing that houses the means interacting with the operating fluid and at least a part of the first shaft; the casing extending between a first and a second end along a direction parallel to the first axis of rotation; the casing including a first bottom placed at the first end;—means for measuring a parameter associated with a rotation speed of the first shaft. The means for measuring the parameter includes an angular sensor that determines an angular position of the first shaft; the angular sensor including a sensitive element that is associated with the first bottom.
