Abstract
A power end frame of a reciprocating pump includes a first ring, a second ring, and a plurality of connections extending between the first ring and the second ring. The first ring, the second ring, and the plurality of connections are integral with one another, and the plurality of connections includes a plurality of struts that form a plurality of open cells between the first ring and the second ring.
Claims20
A power end frame of a reciprocating pump, the power end frame comprising:
- a plurality of rings, wherein each ring of the plurality of rings comprises:
- a first portion at a first side of each ring, wherein the first side of each ring is configured to couple to a fluid end of the reciprocating pump, and the first portion comprises a first thickness;
- a second portion extending circumferentially from the first portion toward a second side, opposite the first side, of each ring, wherein the second portion comprises a second thickness less than the first thickness;
- and
- a third portion at the second side of each ring, wherein the third portion comprises a third thickness greater than the second thickness.
A power end frame of a reciprocating pump, the power end frame comprising:
- a plurality of rings, wherein each ring of the plurality of rings comprises a variable thickness along its circumference, a first side of each ring and a second side, opposite the first side, of each ring comprise increased thicknesses, the first side of each ring being configured to couple to a fluid end of the reciprocating pump, and each ring has a portion of reduced thickness between the first side and the second side;
- and
- a plurality of connections extending between adjacent rings of the plurality of rings, wherein a respective connection of the plurality of connections extends from the portion of reduced thickness of each ring of the plurality of rings.
A power end frame of a reciprocating pump, the power end frame comprising:
- a ring comprising:
- a first portion at a first side of the ring, wherein the first side of the ring is configured to couple to a fluid end of the reciprocating pump, and the first portion comprises a first thickness;
- and
- a second portion extending circumferentially from the first portion toward a second side, opposite the first side, of the ring, wherein the second portion comprises a second thickness less than the first thickness;
- and
- a strut attached to the second portion of the ring.
