Abstract
Systems and methods for controlling automatic starting and stopping of a vehicle’s engine are described. In one example, output of a camera may be a basis for recognizing that a vehicle is about to be refilled with fuel. Vehicle adjustments may be performed to a vehicle based on recognizing that the vehicle is about to be refilled with fuel.
Claims20
A method for a vehicle, comprising:
- via one or more controllers, recognizing a vehicle fuel refilling condition;
- and
- automatically stopping rotation of an engine of the vehicle in response to the vehicle being stopped and the vehicle fuel refilling condition being recognized.
A vehicle system, comprising:
- a vehicle including one or more controllers including executable instructions stored in non-transitory memory that cause the one or more controllers to:
- identify an impending vehicle refueling and automatically stop rotation of an engine of the vehicle in response to the impending vehicle refueling.
A method for a vehicle, comprising:
- via one or more controllers, recognizing a vehicle fuel refilling condition;
- and
- automatically performing adjustments to operation of the vehicle in response to the vehicle fuel refilling condition being recognized.
