Abstract
A door closer for closing a door, with a housing and an output shaft supported therein, designed for fastening a lever arrangement, with a mechanical energy storage device in the housing, which drives the output shaft to rotate, with the energy storage device preferably being a spring, with a sensor unit having a sensor and an encoder with the encoder being arranged or designed on the output shaft, with the sensor being designed and arranged for identifying the encoder, in particular without contact.

A door closer for closing a door, the door closer comprising:
- a housing and an output shaft supported therein, designed for fastening a lever arrangement,
- a mechanical energy storage device in the housing which drives the output shaft to rotate, wherein the energy storage device is preferably a spring, and
- a sensor unit comprising a sensor and an encoder,
- wherein the encoder is arranged or designed on the output shaft,
- wherein the sensor is designed and arranged for detecting the encoder, in particular without contact, wherein the sensor is arranged on a sensor receiving device, wherein the sensor receiving device comprises a bracket wherein the bracket rests against an axle bearing closure of the housing in the direction of an axis of rotation of the output shaft.
