Abstract
Presented herein are techniques for designing and constructing a housing unit or a house using a scalable, modular system that is climate-proof and is, additionally, designed to survive natural disasters. A modular system includes substantially standard modules or components that may be efficiently assembled together to create a housing unit with various floors and rooms. Housing units that are designed and constructed using modular components enables the housing units to be built relatively quickly, and, further, in a cost-efficient manner. Further, housing units constructed using modular components are readily customizable, readily maintained, and readily upgraded.
Claims20
A method comprising:
- providing a floor element, the floor element being arranged to removably support at least a first plate;
- providing a wall mold arrangement, the wall mold arrangement including a wall guide plate, wherein the wall guide plate is positioned at a distance away from the first plate, the wall guide plate having a parallel orientation with respect to the first plate relative to a first axis;
- forming a first wall from a first material, wherein forming the first wall incudes dispensing the first material between the wall guide plate and the first plate, and wherein the first wall is molded by the wall guide plate and the first plate;
- removing the wall guide plate after forming the first wall;
- and
- removing the first plate after forming the first wall.
An apparatus comprising:
- a first metal plate, the first metal plate configured to be movably supported on a slab;
- a wall mold arrangement, the wall mold arrangement including a wall guide plate, wherein the wall guide plate is configured to be positioned at a distance away from the first metal plate relative to a first axis, wherein the wall guide plate is further configured to be positioned in a parallel orientation with respect to the first metal plate relative to a second axis;
- and
- a hopper arrangement, the hopper arrangement configured to dispense a wall-forming material between the wall guide plate and the first metal plate such that the wall-forming material is molded by the wall guide plate and the first metal plate to form a wall.
A method comprising:
- providing a foundation;
- arranging a floor element over the foundation;
- forming a structure on the floor element;
- creating at least a first wall structure on the floor element, wherein creating the first wall structure on the floor element includes providing a plurality of mold surfaces, dispensing a wall-forming material between the plurality of mold surfaces, and removing the plurality of mold surfaces after dispensing the wall-forming material between the plurality of mold surfaces;
- and
- installing roofing over the first wall structure.
