Arrangement for Connecting Scaffold Members

An arrangement (100) for connecting scaffold members (200a, 200b), the

• arrangement (100) comprising:
• a supporting member (110) having a central axis, the supporting member (110) configured to receive both an upper scaffolding member (200a) and a lower scaffolding member (200b);
• a rosette (120) secured to the supporting member (110), the rosette (120) being centrally positioned along the supporting member (110) and having a plurality of grooves (122) spaced around its periphery, the grooves (122) configured to receive and secure horizontal scaffolding members of the scaffold;
• characterized in that, a guide member (130) is positioned within the supporting member (110), the guide member (130) extends substantially throughout the entire length of the supporting member (110), from the top edge (110a) to the bottom edge (110b), and projects beyond both the top edge (110a) and the bottom edge (110b) of the supporting member (110) to form a spigot joint for aligning and engaging the upper scaffolding member (200a) and the lower scaffolding member (200b);
• wherein the upper scaffolding member (200a) is supported by the top edge (110a) of the supporting member (110), and the lower scaffolding member (200b) is supported by the bottom edge (110b) of the supporting member (110), such that applied loads are transferred through the supporting member (110).
