Abstract
A tool for installing a piece of siding with a particular siding profile on its top end. The top end of the tool has a profiled end configured to match and fit on the siding profile, while the bottom end has a flat extension or surface extending outward in position for receiving the impact of a mallet or hammer. The impact moves the piece of siding downward to engage with the adjacent lower course of siding without damage to siding profile on its top end.
