System and method for fluid handling in a shower or bath

A method to autonomously fill to a desired fill level a bathtub comprising:

• providing a bathtub having an associated drain and an associated water supply conduit disposed above the bathtub, the conduit configured to supply water to, and removably mount at least one of a plurality of showerheads for showering in the bathtub;
• providing a water control device coupled to a water outlet of the water supply conduit, the water control device accepting a user input of a time duration and being configured to shut off a flow of water outputted from the water control device into the bathtub upon the user inputted time duration being elapsed;
• wherein the method further comprises:
• pre-determining a time duration to fill the bathtub to a desired fill level utilizing water outputted from the water control device into the bathtub;
• inputting the pre-determined time duration into the water control device;
• closing the associated drain of the bathtub before filling so that water will not exit out of the bathtub;
• initiating a flow of water through the overhead water supply conduit, through the water control device, and into the bathtub;
• and
• terminating the flow of water outputted from the water control device into the bathtub upon the user inputted predetermined time duration being elapsed, whereby the bathtub is filled to the desired fill level.
