Abstract
The present application relates to a cord including para-aramid fiber, a method for manufacturing the same, a reinforcing material and a tire comprising the cord. Specifically, as the cord includes a para-aramid fiber having large crystal size and high crystallinity and thus exhibiting excellent mechanical properties, it has high resistance to deformation due to external force, and thus can be usefully used as a tire reinforcing material.
Claims15
A cord formed by plying a first primarily-twisted yarn and a second primarily-twisted yarn, wherein the first primarily-twisted yarn is formed by imparting twists to a para-aramid fiber having a crystallinity of 67% or more, an apparent crystal size based on 110 plane of 5.8 to 7.0 nm, a total fineness of 200 to 1600 deniers, and a tenacity of 22 g/d or more, and wherein the second primarily-twisted yarn is formed by imparting twists to a dissimilar fiber that is different from the para-aramid fiber.
A method for manufacturing a cord, comprising the steps of:
- preparing a para-aramid fiber having a crystallinity of 67% or more, an apparent crystal size based on 110 plane of 5.8 to 7.0 nm, a total fineness of 200 to 1600 deniers, and a tenacity of 22 g/d or more;
- and
- secondarily twisting a first primarily-twisted yarn and a second primarily-twisted yarn together to prepare the cord as a plied yarn, wherein the first primarily-twisted yarn is formed by imparting twists to the para-aramid fiber, and wherein the second primarily-twisted yarn is formed by imparting twists to a dissimilar fiber that is different from the para-aramid fiber.
