Abstract
An electrode and in particular to an electrode suitable for gas evolution comprising a metal substrate and a catalytic coating. Such electrode can be used as an anode for the development of oxygen in electrolytic processes such as, for example, in the alkaline electrolysis of water.
Claims14
An anode for oxygen evolution in electrochemical processes comprising a metal substrate and a catalytic coating wherein said metal substrate comprises one or more metals selected from the group consisting of nickel, nickel alloys iron and iron alloys and said catalytic coating comprises at least one external layer containing nickel and at least one element selected from iridium, iron and calcium and at least one internal layer arranged between the metal substrate and said external layer.
