Abstract
This disclosure provides compositions and methods comprising epigenetic editors comprising two or more DNA-binding zinc finger domains for epigenetic modification of target genes, as well as nucleic acids and vectors encoding the same. Also disclosed are cells epigenetically modified by the epigenetic editors.

A fusion protein comprising one or more DNA methyltransferase (DNMT) domains and/or a recruiter domain that recruits a DNMT, two or more DNA-binding zinc finger domains, and one or more transcriptional repressor domains.
