Abstract
A composition for preparing a cathode priming coat, a cathode including the priming coat, and a method of forming the cathode including the priming coat. The priming coat composition includes a polyacrylic binder having a low molecular weight, and carbon particles. The cathode can be used for manufacturing cells for a rechargeable battery.
Claims19
A composition for preparing a cathode primer coating, comprising:
- a binding agent comprising a water-soluble polymer having a molecular mass Mw, measured by SEC, ranging from 2,000 g/mol to less than 100,000 g/mol, and prepared by a polymerisation reaction of an initiator compound, and a compound (a) which is at least one selected from the group consisting of acrylic acid, methacrylic acid, an acrylic acid oligomer, a methacrylic acid oligomer, an acrylic acid salt, a methacrylic acid salt, an acrylic acid oligomer salt, and a methacrylic acid oligomer salt, and
- a carbon-containing material comprising carbon particles.
