Thermoplastic composition, articles prepared therefrom, and method for the manufacture thereof

A conductive thermoplastic composition, comprising:

• 30 to 60 weight percent of a poly(phenylene ether);
• 30 to 60 weight percent of a polyamide;
• 1 to 20 weight percent of an impact modifier;
• 0.1 to 10 weight percent of a conductive agent;
• 1 to 10 weight percent of a hydroxy-containing compound comprising bisphenoxyethanol fluorene, a terpene phenolic resin, a novolak resin, or a combination thereof;
• and
• 0.01 to 10 weight percent of a compatibilizing agent;
• wherein weight percent is based on the total weight of the thermoplastic composition.
