Abstract

A biodegradable composition including polybutylene adipate terephthalate with maleic acid ester-bonded to the terminal hydroxyl group. The biodegradable composition has a peak area ratio according to the following formula 1 of 0.20 or more 0.50 or less. In the formula 1, P1 is the peak area in the range of 6.0 ppm or more, less than 7.0 ppm in the 1H-NMR spectrum of the biodegradable composition, and P2 is the peak area in the range of 3.5 ppm or more, less than 4.0 ppm in the 1H-NMR spectrum of the biodegradable composition.
