Abstract
Described herein are systems and methods for the conversion of polymers into monomer and polymer components utilizing deconstruction (for example, acetic acid solvolysis) and filtration of both insoluble and soluble reaction products.

A method comprising:
- providing a polymer containing polyols;
- reacting the polymer with acetic acid, thereby generating a plurality of products;
- and
- separating the plurality of products via filtration.
