The invention comprises a method and apparatus for processing a material in a supercritical fluid, comprising the steps of: providing a supercritical fluid system comprising the supercritical fluid in a supercritical fluid container; breaking down the material in the supercritical fluid to form gases, the gases comprising at least carbon dioxide; transferring at least a portion of the gases out of the supercritical fluid system; and capturing at least a portion of the carbon dioxide in a carbon capture system in the process of transferring, where the system is optionally and preferably additionally used to produce, from waste material, carbon monoxide and molecular hydrogen that is input into a Fischer-Tropsch system for use in the generation of fuel.
