Abstract
Actuator-based packages for use with cartridge refills. A package includes a container configured to hold a cartridge refill, a replaceable cap configured to fit the container, and an actuator mechanism integral with the container. The actuator mechanism is configured to compress the cartridge refill to dispense a useable material contained in the cartridge refill. The actuator mechanism can be a pump mechanism. The actuator mechanism can be a slider mechanism.

A package comprising:
- a container configured to hold a replaceable cartridge refill, wherein the replaceable cartridge refill includes:
- a flexible pouch configured to contain a useable material;
- and
- a cap connected to the flexible pouch and that defines holes for dispensing the useable material;
- and
- an actuator mechanism configured to compress the flexible pouch to dispense the useable material through the holes of the cap, wherein the actuator mechanism includes:
- a slider movably coupled to the package;
- and
- a platform connected to the slider and configured to be actuated via the slider.

A system comprising:
- a replaceable cartridge refill that includes:
- a pouch configured to contain a useable material;
- and
- a perforated cap connected to the pouch;
- a container configured to hold the replaceable cartridge refill;
- a replaceable cap configured to removably fit the container;
- and
- a slider mechanism configured to compress the pouch to dispense the useable material through the perforated cap, wherein the slider mechanism includes:
- a slider movably coupled to an access surface of the container;
- and
- a platform connected to the slider, wherein the platform is positioned between the slider and the pouch such that sliding the slider toward the perforated cap moves the platform to push the pouch against the perforated cap to dispense the useable material.

- a container configured to hold a replaceable cartridge refill;

- a slider mechanism integral with the container and located on a side surface of the container, wherein the slider mechanism includes:
- a slider movably coupled to an access surface of the container, wherein the access surface includes a scalloped access area that includes slots, and wherein the slider is configured to be retained in the slots to maintain a position of the slider along the access surface;
- and
- a platform connected to the slider and positioned within the container, wherein the platform is configured to be moved via the slider to compress the replaceable cartridge refill to dispense a useable material from the replaceable cartridge refill.
