Abstract
A product securement apparatus that includes a corner insert. The corner insert defines a container engaging surface that engages an interior of a container, for example, at a corner of the container. The corner insert defines a product supporting surface that engages a product to support the product within the container. The corner insert includes two or more insert elements notchingly engageable with one another to form the corner insert. The insert elements may be formed from a laminate comprised of a plurality of corrugated fiberboard sheets in bonded engagement. The insert elements may be planar, of unitary construction, and may be die cut from the laminate.
Claims18
A product securement apparatus, comprising:
- a laminate comprised of a plurality of corrugated fiberboard sheets in bonded engagement;
- a first insert element comprised of the laminate and of unitary construction, the first insert element includes a first arm and a second arm in co-planar arrangement with the first arm oriented perpendicularly to the second arm in an L-shaped configuration, the first insert element defines a product supporting surface to support a product and a container engaging surface to engage an inner surface of a container;
- a first interlocking notch defined by the container engaging surface of the first arm of the first insert element;
- a second insert element comprised of the laminate and of unitary construction, the second insert element includes a first arm and a second arm in planar arrangement with the first arm oriented perpendicularly to the second arm in an L-shaped configuration, the second insert element defines a product supporting surface to support the product and a container engaging surface to engage the inner surface of the container;
- a second interlocking notch defined by the product supporting surface of the first arm of the second insert element;
- and wherein the first interlocking notch of the first insert element and the second interlocking notch of the second insert element are configured to interlock with one another to secure the first insert element and the second insert element together in order to form a corner insert, the corner insert having the first arm of the first insert element co-planar with and aligned perpendicular to the first arm of the second insert element, the corner insert having the second arm of the first insert element in parallel alignment with the second arm of the second insert element.
A product securement apparatus, comprising:
- a laminate comprised of a plurality of corrugated fiberboard sheets in bonded engagement;
- a first insert element comprised of the laminate and of unitary construction, the first insert element includes a first arm and a second arm in co-planar arrangement with the first arm oriented perpendicularly to the second arm in an L-shaped configuration, the first insert element defines a product supporting surface to support a product and a container engaging surface to engage an inner surface of a container;
- a second insert element comprised of the laminate and of unitary construction, the second insert element includes a first arm and a second arm in co-planar arrangement with the first arm oriented perpendicularly to the second arm in an L-shaped configuration, the second insert element defines a product supporting surface to support the product and a container engaging surface to engage the inner surface of a container;
- a third insert element comprised of the laminate and of unitary construction, the third insert element includes a first arm and a second arm in planar arrangement with the first arm oriented perpendicularly to the second arm in an L-shaped configuration, the third insert element defines a product supporting surface to support the product and a container engaging surface to engage the inner surface of the container;
- and wherein the first insert element, the second insert element, and the third insert element are each configured to notchingly engage one another to form a corner insert.
