Abstract
Disclosed is a structurally reinforced pallet assembly that includes a lineal engagement stringer, a lineal stringer, and a lineal slat. The lineal engagement stringer has a profile with an internal space and a profile wall. The lineal stringer has a first end, a second end, a top wall, and an internal screw boss for secure fastening to the lineal engagement stringer. The lineal slat is supported by the top wall of the lineal stringer. At least one of the lineal engagement stringer, lineal stringer, or lineal slat has an embedded lineal reinforcement. Assembly involves providing the lineal engagement stringer, fastening the lineal stringer to the lineal engagement stringer, and providing the lineal slat, with at least one component having an embedded lineal reinforcement.
Claims20
A structurally reinforced pallet assembly, comprising:
- a lineal engagement stringer having a profile, the profile comprising an internal space and a profile wall at least partially defining the internal space;
- a lineal stringer having a first end, a second end, a top wall, and an internal screw boss, wherein the lineal stringer includes an internal screw boss structured for secure fastening of the first end of the lineal stringer to the lineal engagement stringer;
- and
- a lineal slat supported by the top wall of the lineal stringer,
- wherein at least one of the lineal engagement stringer, the lineal stringer, or the lineal slat has an embedded lineal reinforcement.
A method of assembling a structurally reinforced pallet assembly, the method comprising:
- providing a lineal engagement stringer having a profile, the profile comprising an internal space and a profile wall at least partially defining the internal space;
- fastening a first end of a lineal stringer to the lineal engagement stringer, wherein the lineal stringer comprises the first end, a second end, a top wall, and an internal screw boss, wherein the lineal stringer includes an internal screw boss structured for secure fastening of the first end of the lineal stringer to the lineal engagement stringer;
- and
- providing a lineal slat supported by the top wall of the lineal stringer,
- wherein at least one of the lineal engagement stringer, the lineal stringer, or the lineal slat has an embedded lineal reinforcement.
