Packaging for medical devices is disclosed. The packaging may include a tray having sidewalls that extend between a base and a rim to form a receptacle of varying depth. The sidewalls may include handle sidewalls extending to the base at the peak depth of the receptacle and forming a tray handle. The handle sidewalls may be laterally spaced to accommodate a handle of a surgical device and sized to deflect inwardly toward opposing lateral sides of the handle of the surgical device when manually grasped. The handle sidewalls may be thinner and more flexible than the other sidewalls of the tray. A surgical device may be stored in the tray in an upright orientation. The tray may be thermoformed.
