Abstract
A Zinc-Nickel (ZnNi) plating system for increased fretting wear and corrosion resistance between components. The system includes first component and a mating component. A portion of the mating component is configured to interface with a portion of the first component. At least the portion of the first component or the portion of the mating component is plated with ZnNi for increased fretting wear and corrosion resistance between the portion of the first component and the portion of the mating component.
Claims20
A Zinc-Nickel (ZnNi) plating system for increased fretting wear and corrosion resistance between components, comprising:
- a first component;
- and
- a mating component,
- wherein a portion of the mating component is configured to interface with a portion of the first component, and
- wherein at least the portion of the first component or the portion of the mating component is plated with ZnNi for increased fretting wear and corrosion resistance between the portion of the first component and the portion of the mating component.
An aircraft comprising:
- a first component;
- and
- a mating component,
- wherein a portion of the mating component is configured to interface with a portion of the first component, and
- wherein at least the portion of the first component or the portion of the mating component is plated with ZnNi for increased fretting wear and corrosion resistance between the portion of the first component and the portion of the mating component.
