Abstract
According to an embodiment, a steering device includes a base member, a tilt member, and a lock mechanism. The lock mechanism includes a meshing portion, a lock member having a cam groove, a latch shaft, a normal-direction support unit, and a tangential-direction support unit. The meshing portion is formed along an arc centered on a tilt shaft. In a state where the meshing portion fits with the engagement portion, the normal-direction support unit suppresses separation of the meshing portion and the engagement portion in a direction along a normal of the arc. The tangential-direction support unit suppresses separation of the meshing portion and the engagement portion in a direction along a tangent of the arc.
Claims5
A steering device, comprising:
- a base member;
- a tilt member configured to move in a tilt-up direction and a tilt-down direction about a tilt shaft provided in the base member;
- and
- a lock mechanism configured to fix the tilt member at a position of a desired tilt angle, wherein
- the lock mechanism includes:
- an meshing portion including a plurality of recess portions arranged along an arc centered on the tilt shaft;
- a lock member having an engagement portion including a convex portion capable of fitting with the recess portion and configured to rotate about a lock-member shaft;
- a normal-direction support unit configured to suppress, in a state where the meshing portion fits with the engagement portion, separation of the meshing portion and the engagement portion in a direction along a normal of the arc;
- and
- a tangential-direction support unit configured to suppress, in the state where the meshing portion fits with the engagement portion, separation of the meshing portion and the engagement portion in a direction along a tangent of the arc.
