Vehicle control system, non-transitory computer-readable medium, and vehicle steering system

A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing an integrated control program to be applied to a vehicle control system including an integrated control device that centrally controls a plurality of vehicle systems including a vehicle steering system for steering a vehicle, and a steering control device that controls the vehicle steering system, the integrated control device and the steering control device being connected to each other via a line to communicate with each other, a control period of the steering control device being shorter than a control period of the integrated control device, a communication period of the line being shorter than the control period of the integrated control device and longer than the control period of the steering control device,

• processes of controlling the vehicle steering system including a first control process to be executed by the integrated control device and a second control process to be executed by the steering control device,
• the first control process being a process of calculating a steering control value to be used by the steering control device to control the vehicle steering system, with a need for cooperation with the vehicle system other than the vehicle steering system,
• the integrated control program being configured to cause the integrated control device to execute the first control process while the integrated control device executes a process of calculating a control value to be used to control the other vehicle system.

A vehicle steering system for steering a vehicle, the vehicle steering system being applied to a vehicle control system including an integrated control device that centrally controls a plurality of vehicle systems, the vehicle steering system comprising a steering control device that controls the vehicle steering system, wherein:

• the integrated control device and the steering control device are connected to each other via a line to communicate with each other;
• a control period of the steering control device is shorter than a control period of the integrated control device;
• a communication period of the line is shorter than the control period of the integrated control device and longer than the control period of the steering control device;
• processes of controlling the vehicle steering system include a first control process to be executed by the integrated control device and a second control process to be executed by the steering control device;
• the first control process is a process of calculating a steering control value to be used by the steering control device to control the vehicle steering system, with a need for cooperation with the vehicle system other than the vehicle steering system;
• the second control process is a process of controlling the vehicle steering system to reflect the steering control value calculated by the integrated control device, without the need for cooperation with the other vehicle system;
• and
• the second control process is a process of executing control that requires a higher responsiveness than the first control process.
