Abstract
An electric braking device generates a braking force by pressing a friction member against a rotating member that rotates integrally with a wheel of a vehicle, and includes a rotating unit that is part of a transmission path of power from an electric motor to the friction member, and rotates in synchronization with the electric motor, and a rotation angle detecting unit that detects a rotation angle of the electric motor by detecting rotation of a detected portion provided at the rotating unit.

An electric braking device that generates a braking force on a wheel by pressing a friction member against a rotating member that rotates integrally with the wheel of a vehicle, the electric braking device comprising:
- a rotating unit that is part of a transmission path of power from an electric motor to the friction member and rotates in synchronization with the electric motor;
- and
- a rotation angle detecting unit that detects a rotation angle of the electric motor by detecting rotation of a detected portion provided in the rotating unit.
