Vehicle brake control device

A vehicle brake control device comprising:

• a ground contact load detector configured to detect a ground contact load of a wheel of a vehicle;
• a vehicle body speed detector configured to detect a vehicle body speed of the vehicle;
• a wheel speed detector configured to detect a wheel speed of the wheel;
• and
• a brake controller configured to calculate a wheel slip ratio based on the vehicle body speed detected by the vehicle body speed detector and the wheel speed detected by the wheel speed detector, and cause anti-lock braking system control to be executed when the wheel slip ratio exceeds a first threshold regarding activation of the anti-lock braking system control,
• wherein the brake controller comprises:
• a first determiner configured to determine whether a reduction in brake hydraulic pressure during execution of the anti-lock braking system control is a first reduction;
• a first change amount calculator configured to calculate an amount of change in the ground contact load detected by the ground contact load detector when the first determiner determines that the reduction in the brake hydraulic pressure is the first reduction;
• a second determiner configured to determine whether the amount of change in the ground contact load calculated by the first change amount calculator exceeds an allowable load change amount;
• and
• a first hydraulic pressure maintainer configured to cause the brake hydraulic pressure to be maintained when the second determiner determines that the amount of change in the ground contact load exceeds the allowable load change amount.
