Vertically and horizontally telescoping truck camper

An attachment for connecting a truck bed structure to a truck, the truck bed structure comprising a truck camper, truck cap, canopy, topper, or camper shell and having a portion configured to be positioned over or adjacent to a truck bed, the attachment comprising:

• an upper interface configured to attach to the portion of the truck bed structure;
• a lower interface configured to attach to the truck;
• and
• a body configured to fit between the portion of the truck bed structure and the truck,
• wherein the upper interface is configured to connect to a common interface of the truck bed structure, and
• wherein the lower interface is configured for one of a pickup truck bed, a flatbed or tray, and a chassis-cab truck frame.

A truck camper assembly comprising:

• a truck camper comprising:
• a top section;
• a bottom section comprising a cab-over portion over a cab of a truck and a bed portion, the bottom section being configured to be vertically retracted into or extended from the top section;
• and
• a middle section configured to be horizontally retracted into or extended from the top section;
• and
• an attachment configured to be removably coupled between the bed portion and the truck,
• wherein the bed portion includes a fixed attachment interface,
• wherein the attachment includes a camper-side interface configured to mate with the fixed attachment interface and a truck-side interface configured to mate with the truck,
• wherein the camper-side interface is configured to be common to a plurality of interchangeable attachments, and
• wherein the truck-side interface is configured to adapt the truck camper for a selected one of a pickup-bed installation, a slide-in camper installation, a flatbed camper installation, and a chassis-cab camper installation.
