A charging control apparatus of an electric vehicle that includes a battery configured to store electric power for travel, a charging port configured to take in direct current power for charging from an external charging facility and a charging circuit configured to charge the battery with the direct current power taken in via the charging port includes an interface configured to exchange information with a user and a charging controller configured to control charging. The charging circuit includes a booster circuit configured to boost a voltage of the direct current power. When a charging end voltage of the battery is higher than a maximum voltage of the direct current power that the charging facility is capable of outputting, the charging controller allows the user to make a choice via the interface about whether to charge the battery at a boosted voltage boosted by the booster circuit.
