Abstract
An electric drive device for a motor vehicle includes an electric engine having a rotor; a planetary gear stage, which has a sun gear, a planetary carrier with planetary gears and a ring gear, as well as a switchable freewheel clutch having a first coupling half, a second coupling half, a switching element, and an actuator. The first coupling half is connected to a housing for conjoint rotation. An axial guide ring is provided to support the ring gear in both axial directions. The ring gear is designed to be free from a roller bearing which directly supports it.

An electric drive device for a motor vehicle, the electric drive device comprising:
- an electric engine having a rotor;
- a planetary gear stage having a sun gear, a planetary carrier with planetary gears, and a ring gear;
- a switchable freewheel clutch having a first coupling half, a second coupling half, a switching device, and an actuator, wherein the first coupling half is connected to a housing to conjointly rotate;
- and
- an axial guide ring configured to support the ring gear in both axial directions, wherein the ring gear does not have a roller bearing directly supports it, wherein the axial guide ring is arranged radially inside and axially overlapping the freewheel clutch, wherein the axial guide ring has a u-shaped cross-section contour.
