Method and System For Monitoring the Environment of a Cabin and Regulating The Pressurisation of Same

A system for monitoring and regulating the environment of a cabin comprising:

• an air pressurisation system;
• filtration means;
• at least one air pressure sensor;
• an outflow vent in the cabin;
• and
• control means,
• wherein, during operation, the air pressurisation system continuously supplies pressurised air at a singular pressure level and speed direct to the filtration means, such pressurised air ultimately being delivered to the cabin, and
• wherein the control means is configured and operable to determine an air pressure of the cabin by way of the at least one air pressure sensor and to compare a current air pressure level against a desired air pressure level to obtain a first comparative value, the control means further configured and operable to control a state of the outflow vent in response to at least the first comparative value such that, as between the pressurization system and the outflow vent, the air pressure level of the cabin is regulated by way of the outflow vent only.
