Abstract
Systems, apparatus, articles of manufacture, and methods of vehicle suspension damping are disclosed. An example vehicle includes a chassis, a first damper coupled to the chassis, a second damper coupled to the chassis, and a wheel. The first damper and the second damper are coupled to the wheel, and the first damper is configured to provide suspension compression when the second damper provides suspension extension.
Claims20
A vehicle comprising:
- a chassis;
- a first damper coupled to the chassis;
- a second damper coupled to the chassis;
- and
- a wheel, the first damper and the second damper coupled to the wheel,
- wherein the first damper is configured to provide suspension compression when the second damper provides suspension extension.
A suspension control system for a vehicle, the suspension assembly comprising:
- a first damping system operatively coupled to a first location of a chassis of the vehicle between a sprung mass and an unsprung mass, the first damping system having a first damping force in suspension compression and a second damping force in suspension extension, the first damping force and the second damping force are equal in magnitude;
- and
- a second damping system operatively coupled to a second location of the chassis of the vehicle between the sprung mass and then unsprung mass, the second damping system having a third damping force in suspension compression and a fourth damping force in suspension extension, the third damping force and the fourth damping force are equal in magnitude.
A method to stabilize a vehicle chassis, the method comprising:
- activating a first damper coupled between a wheel and a location of a vehicle chassis;
- and
- activating a second damper coupled between the wheel and the location of the vehicle chassis, the first damper configured to provide suspension compression when the second damper provides suspension extension.
