Liquid discharge head and liquid discharge apparatus

A liquid discharge head comprising:

• a nozzle plate having:
• multiple nozzle arrays each having multiple nozzles arrayed in a nozzle array direction;
• a channel plate having multiple individual chambers respectively communicating with the multiple nozzles;
• and
• a piezoelectric actuator including a single piezoelectric element,
• to deform each part of the multiple individual chambers to discharge a liquid in the multiple individual chambers from the multiple nozzles;
• wherein the piezoelectric actuator includes multiple actuator arrays corresponding to the multiple nozzle arrays,
• each of the multiple actuator arrays including:
• multiple first portions not including internal electrodes in the single piezoelectric element;
• and
• multiple second portions including the internal electrodes in the single piezoelectric element, the multiple second portions disposed at positions corresponding to the multiple nozzles,
• the multiple first portions and the multiple second portions are alternately arrayed in the nozzle array direction in each of the multiple actuator arrays, and
• the multiple actuator arrays in the single piezoelectric element are respectively driven to discharge the liquid from the multiple nozzle arrays.
