Abstract

Methods of decorating an uneven surface of a main body with a transfer ply of a hot stamping foil, wherein the following steps are performed: providing the main body in a holding device; providing the hot stamping foil; clamping the hot stamping foil to a hot stamping die by means of a clamp device; sucking the hot stamping foil onto a stamping face of the hot stamping die by means of vacuum suction; preheating the hot stamping foil by means of heated hot stamping dies; applying the transfer ply of the hot stamping foil to an uneven surface of the main body, in which the hot stamping foil is brought into contact with the uneven surface of the main body and the transfer ply is transferred to the main body by means of the hot stamping die under the effect of stamping pressure and stamping temperature.
