Abstract

An object of the present technology is to provide a cleaning tape with a high cleaning power that can be used for next-generation media having a small bit size. The present technology provides a cleaning tape including a magnetic layer and an underlayer in this order, in which an average thickness of the underlayer is 1.60 μm or more, a surface roughness Rab of a surface of the magnetic layer is 2.9 nm or less, and an abrasivity of 50 reciprocations with respect to an AlFeSil prism is 65 μm or less, and an abrasivity of 50 reciprocations to 100 reciprocations with respect to the AlFeSil prism is 25 μm or more. The magnetic layer can contain a magnetic powder. The magnetic powder can be a barium ferrite magnetic powder.
