Molten metal supply mechanism for casting machine and molten metal supply method for casting machine

A molten metal supply mechanism for a casting machine, comprising:

• a ladle that stores molten metal and supplies the molten metal to a molten metal supply port of a casting machine;
• a robot arm that controls a position and an attitude of the ladle;
• a molten metal supply unit that pours the molten metal into the ladle;
• a molten metal surface detection sensor that detects a surface of the molten metal poured into the ladle from the molten metal supply unit;
• and
• a molten metal receiving can that is disposed immediately below the ladle when the molten metal is poured into the ladle from the molten metal supply unit,
• wherein the robot arm maintains the attitude of the ladle in a horizontal state while the molten metal is poured into the ladle from the molten metal supply unit, and after the molten metal is poured into the ladle in the horizontal state from the molten metal supply unit, the robot arm causes the ladle to be tilted and intentionally causes the molten metal poured into the ladle to spill out into the molten metal receiving can, and after a lapse of a predetermined time, the robot arm returns the attitude of the ladle to the horizontal state, so that an amount of the molten metal remaining and stored in the ladle is constantly adjusted to a predetermined amount.

A molten metal supply method for a casting machine executed when molten metal supply to the casting machine is performed comprising:

• preparing a molten metal supply mechanism for the casting machine including
• a ladle that stores molten metal and supplies the molten metal to a molten metal supply port of the casting machine,
• a robot arm that controls a position and an attitude of the ladle,
• a molten metal supply unit that pours the molten metal into the ladle,
• a molten metal surface detection sensor that detects a surface of the molten metal poured into the ladle from the molten metal supply unit, and
• a molten metal receiving can that is disposed immediately below the ladle when the molten metal is poured into the ladle from the molten metal supply unit;
• maintaining the attitude of the ladle in a tilted state by the robot arm while the molten metal is poured into the ladle from the molten metal supply unit;
• intentionally overflowing and spilling out the molten metal from the ladle into the molten metal receiving can;
• and
• adjusting an amount of the molten metal poured and stored in the ladle to a predetermined amount.

A molten metal supply method for a casting machine executed when molten metal supply to the casting machine is performed comprising:

• preparing a molten metal supply mechanism for the casting machine including
• a ladle that stores molten metal and supplies the molten metal to a molten metal supply port of the casting machine,
• a robot arm that controls a position and an attitude of the ladle,
• a molten metal supply unit that pours the molten metal into the ladle,
• a molten metal surface detection sensor that detects a surface of the molten metal poured into the ladle from the molten metal supply unit, and
• a molten metal receiving can that is disposed immediately below the ladle when the molten metal is poured into the ladle from the molten metal supply unit;
• maintaining the attitude of the ladle in a horizontal state by the robot arm while the molten metal is poured into the ladle from the molten metal supply unit;
• after the molten metal is poured into the ladle in the horizontal state from the molten metal supply unit, tilting the ladle by the robot arm and intentionally spilling out the molten metal from the ladle into the molten metal receiving can;
• adjusting an amount of the molten metal remaining and stored in the ladle to a predetermined amount;
• and
• after a lapse of a predetermined time, returning the attitude of the ladle to the horizontal state by the robot arm.
