Abstract
The disclosure provides a system and method for separation and use of oxygen from flue gas, e.g., from a gas turbine (GT) engine. A system according to the disclosure includes an oxygen separator downstream from a gas turbine (GT) engine. The oxygen separator is configured to separate a flue gas from the GT engine into an oxygen rich stream and an oxygen reduced stream. A first conduit is coupled to the oxygen separator and configured to transmit the separated oxygen rich stream to a power plant component.

A system comprising:
- an oxygen separator downstream from a gas turbine (GT) engine, the oxygen separator configured to separate a flue gas stream from the GT engine into an oxygen rich stream and an oxygen reduced stream;
- and
- a first conduit coupled to the oxygen separator and configured to transmit the separated oxygen rich stream to a power plant component.
A system comprising:
- a heat recovery steam generator (HRSG) fluidly coupled to a GT engine and configured to receive a flue gas stream therefrom, wherein the HRSG transmits the flue gas stream to a flue-gas-stack;
- an oxygen separator coupled downstream of the HRSG and configured to separate a portion of the flue gas stream into an oxygen rich stream and an oxygen reduced stream;
- a first conduit coupled to the oxygen separator and configured to transmit the oxygen rich stream to a power plant component;
- and
- carbon capture system (CCS) in fluid communication with the oxygen separator and configured to receive the remaining oxygen reduced stream therefrom.
A method comprising:
- separating, in an oxygen separator, a flue gas stream from a gas turbine (GT) engine into an oxygen rich stream and an oxygen reduced stream;
- and
- transmitting the oxygen rich stream to a power plant component.
