Abstract
A video segment of video game play by a user can be augmented by the addition of a personalized soundtrack using one or more audio tracks (e.g., songs or other music tracks) that are automatically selected from a personal audio library of the user. Selection can be based on similarity between properties associated with the audio track and attributes of the video segment. The selected audio track(s) can be mixed with game sounds in the video segment.
Claims20
A computer-implemented method comprising:
- receiving a recorded video segment of game play by a user of a video game system;
- determining one or more attributes of the recorded video segment;
- selecting, from a personal audio library associated with the user, an audio track to accompany the recorded video segment, wherein each audio track in the personal audio library has an associated set of properties and wherein the selection of the audio track is based at least in part on a similarity between the one or more attributes of the recorded video segment and the set of properties of the audio tracks;
- and
- mixing at least a portion of the selected audio track into the recorded video segment to produce an augmented video segment.
A system comprising:
- a memory;
- and
- a processor coupled to the memory and configured to:
- receive a recorded video segment of game play by a user of a video game system;
- determine one or more attributes of the recorded video segment;
- select, from a personal audio library associated with the user, an audio track to accompany the recorded video segment, wherein each audio track in the personal audio library has an associated set of properties and wherein the selection of the audio track is based at least in part on a similarity between the one or more attributes of the recorded video segment and the set of properties of the audio tracks;
- and
- mix at least a portion of the selected audio track into the recorded video segment to produce an augmented video segment.
A computer-readable storage medium having stored therein program code instructions that, when executed by a processor in a computer system, cause the processor to perform a method comprising:
- receiving a recorded video segment of game play by a user of a video game system;
- determining one or more attributes of the recorded video segment;
- selecting, from a personal audio library associated with the user, an audio track to accompany the recorded video segment, wherein each audio track in the personal audio library has an associated set of properties and wherein the selection of the audio track is based at least in part on a similarity between the one or more attributes of the recorded video segment and the set of properties of the audio tracks;
- and
- mixing at least a portion of the selected audio track into the recorded video segment to produce an augmented video segment.
