Lacrosse Training Device

Abstract

A lacrosse training device preferably comprises a player engagement device. The player engagement device includes a first guide portion and a second guide portion each defining a lacrosse ball engagement surface extending along at least a portion of its longitudinal extent. The lacrosse ball engagement surfaces of the first and second guide portions are spaced apart and parallel to each other and define a gap therebetween. The gap has a width that is less than a diameter of a lacrosse ball. An upright is constructed to extend from ground level and position and support the player engagement device above ground-level and orient the lacrosse ball engagement surfaces vertically. A player can practice a lacrosse draw by forcing a lacrosse ball against the lacrosse ball engagement surfaces and advancing the lacrosse ball upwardly along the lacrosse ball engagement surfaces to exit above the player engagement device.
