Abstract
A golf club head including an internal cavity including a reservoir and a channel is disclosed herein. In accordance with the presently disclosed technology, the golf club head may include a striking face portion, a body portion, and an internal cavity. The internal cavity may include a reservoir and a channel. The channel may include a channel length, a channel distance, a channel volume, and/or other characteristics.
Claims20
A golf club head comprising:
- a striking face portion located at a frontal portion of the golf club head;
- a body portion attached to a rear of the striking face portion;
- and
- an internal cavity defined by the striking face portion and the body portion, wherein the internal cavity comprises:
- an at least partially enclosed reservoir to receive a material;
- and
- an at least partially enclosed channel to direct the material to the at least partially enclosed reservoir, wherein the at least partially enclosed channel comprises a channel length greater than about 15 mm.

A golf club head comprising:
- a striking face portion located at a frontal portion of the golf club head;
- a body portion attached to a rear of the striking face portion, wherein the body portion comprises a toe port on a toe side of the body portion, wherein the toe port comprises a toe port cross-sectional area across an entrance of the toe port adjacent to an exterior surface of the body portion;
- and
- an internal cavity defined by the striking face portion and the body portion, wherein the internal cavity comprises:
- an at least partially enclosed reservoir to receive a material;
- and
- an at least partially enclosed channel to direct the material to the at least partially enclosed reservoir, wherein the at least partially enclosed channel comprises a channel length;
- wherein an area-to-distance ratio of the toe port cross-sectional area to a channel distance is less than about 1.0 mm, wherein the channel distance comprises at least one of the channel length and a channel height.

A golf club head comprising:
- a striking face portion located at a frontal portion of the golf club head;
- a body portion attached to a rear of the striking face portion;
- and
- an internal cavity defined by the striking face portion and the body portion, wherein the internal cavity comprises:
- an internal cavity volume;
- an at least partially enclosed reservoir to receive a material;
- and
- an at least partially enclosed channel to direct the material to the at least partially enclosed reservoir, wherein the at least partially enclosed channel comprises a channel volume between about 0.09% and about 30% of the internal cavity volume.
