Abstract
A method for generating directional skin tightening, including: providing at least one alignment indication of at least one energy-emitting transducer; aligning at least one energy-emitting transducer on a surface of a skin according to the at least one alignment indication; applying energy by the at least one aligned energy-emitting transducer; generating directional skin tightening, by forming elongated spaced-apart thermal damage lesions in deep tissue layers of the skin arranged according to the alignment of said at least one energy-emitting transducer.

1-52. (canceled)
A system for generating directional skin tightening, the system comprising:
- an applicator including at least one ultrasound transducer configured to initiate directional skin tightening;
- a user interface configured to provide at least one alignment indication associated with at least one skin tightening vector, for alignment of the at least one ultrasound transducer on a skin surface;
- and
- control circuitry configured to apply energy by the at least one ultrasound transducer at two or more locations on the skin surface in a direction of a skin tightening vector, wherein the control circuitry is configured to apply the energy to form spaced-apart thermal damage lesions in at least one tissue volume located beneath the at least one ultrasound transducer and in the direction of the skin tightening vector, and wherein the directional skin tightening is generated without cutting skin tissue following initiation of the directional skin tightening.
A method for generating directional skin tightening, the method comprising:
- determining a skin tightening vector based on position of at least one skin tension line or at least one wrinkle on a skin surface;
- providing at least one alignment indication associated with the determined skin tightening vector, wherein the least one alignment indication is used for alignment of at least one ultrasound transducer on the skin surface;
- and
- applying energy by the at least one ultrasound transducer at two or more locations on the skin surface in a direction of the determined skin tightening vector, to thereby form spaced-apart thermal damage lesions in at least one tissue volume located beneath the at least one ultrasound transducer and in the direction of the skin tightening vector, wherein the directional skin tightening is generated without cutting skin tissue following initiation of the directional skin tightening.
